What is NFC? • NFC is a short-range high frequency wireless communication technology that enables the exchange of data between devices over about a 10 cm distance. • It allows devices to establish peer-to-peer radio communications, passing data from one device to another by touching them or putting them very close together.
  • 12. How NFC works? • NFC came out of RFID. RFID, or radio-frequency identification, is the technology used by superstores to keep track of goods, it uses electromagnetic induction in order to transmit information. NFC is similar technology, but standardized for consumer smartphones. • NFC is a means of sending data over radio waves. In that sense it is similar to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, but unlike those protocols (and like RFID) NFC can be used to induce electric currents within passive components as well as just send data. And it is faster than Bluetooth.

Benefits over Bluetooth.. • The significant advantage of NFC over Bluetooth is the shorter set-up time. • Due to its shorter range, NFC provides a higher degree of security than Bluetooth and makes NFC suitable for crowded areas. • NFC can also work when one of the devices is not powered by a battery. • Unlike Bluetooth, no pairing code is needed.
  • 15. Applications… • NFC chips or tags are very small in size, it can be embedded in the movie posters, real estate agent posters etc. • Health care department. • NFC will replace car keys, ID badges and credit/debit cards. • Implementation in food packaging, flyers and merchandisers as well.

o— La computación en la nube ha revolucionado la forma en que el usuario final utiliza Internet, pero también el prestador de servicios y aplicaciones en línea se ha visto beneficiado de las ventajas de esta tecnología, tales como una implementación flexible que permite organizar de manera mucho más ajustada que con los medios tradicionales los costes de cualquier proyecto desde el inicio del mismo. Sin embargo, a pesar del avance que ha supuesto este no tan nuevo modelo de almacenamiento y gestión de datos, las dudas acerca de su seguridad sobrevuelan el ambiente cada vez que el tema es noticia. ¿Es segura la nube? Como suele pasar con más frecuencia de la razonable, no se puede generalizar: dependerá de la nube en cuestión. Así, a la hora de implementar una solución basada en Cloud, es crucial confiar plenamente en el buen hacer de nuestro proveedor, encargado de cimentar la seguridad del sistema y de ofrecer las herramientas adecuadas a tal efecto. Por este motivo es conveniente, al encarar un nuevo proyecto, atender a las características que ofrecen las grandes firmas del sector, aunque sea solo a modo de referencia.

Muchos sistemas electrónicos se manejan con señales discretas (N° fijo de estados posibles). Trabajar con estas señales vuelve más sencillo transmitir, procesar y guardar las magnitudes digitales que las analógicas, aunque una magnitud analógica tiene mejor definición. Adicionalmente, las señales digitales se ven menos afectadas por la presencia de ruido.

Mali olayların sosyolojik açıdan ele alınmasını ifade eden mali sosyoloji, mali olayların toplumsal etkilerini ortaya koymaktadır. Mali sosyoloji ile oluşturulan bakış açısı, bir yandan mali olayların sonuçlarını anlamada yardımcı olurken diğer yandan toplumun bu olaylar karşısındaki tutum ve davranışlarını ortaya çıkarmada önemli görevler üstlenmektedir. Bu anlamda Cumhuriyet döneminde gerçekleşen mali olayların incelenmesi, bu döneme ait sosyolojik çıkarımlar yapmada önemli bir rol oynayacaktır. Cumhuriyet’in kuruluşu ile başlayan süreçten Demokrat Parti’nin iktidara geldiği yıla kadar olan dönemin incelendiği bu çalışmada, halkı önemli derecede etkileyen mali olaylar ele alınmıştır. Aşar Vergisi’nin kaldırılması ile başlayan ve Çiftçiyi Topraklandırma Kanunu’nun yürürlüğe konulması ile biten dönem içerisinde pek çok vergi ihdas edilmiş/kaldırılmış, politika değişiklilerine gidilmiş, kanunlar çıkarılarak yeni bir düzene geçilme çabası sarf edilmiştir. Çalışma, 1923-1938 ile 1938-1950 yılları arasında iki ayrı dönem içinde gerçekleşen önemli mali olayları kapsamakla birlikte çalışmanın temel amacı; Türkiye’de 1923-1950 döneminde gerçekleşen mali olayların sosyolojik etkilerini ortaya koymaktır. Çalışma, ele alınan dönem içerisindeki toplumsal yapının mali olaylar neticesinde nasıl değişime uğradığının ve mali olayların toplumsal ilişkilere ne denli tesir ettiğinin ortaya çıkarılması açısından önem arz etmektedir. Zira çalışma, 1923-1950 dönemi içerisinde gerçekleşen mali olayların, büyük toplumsal dönüşüme doğrudan etki ettiğini ortaya koymakta ve uygulanan mali politikaların toplumsal açıdan arzulanan olumlu etkiyi gösteremediği sonucuna ulaşmaktadır.

Why “Cellular”?

1G • Start early 80’s • Analogue technique • AMPT (Advanced Mobile Phone System): North America • NMT (Nordic Mobile Telephony):North Europe • TACS (Total Access Communication Service):Europe, China • HCMTS (High Capacity Mobile Telephone System):Japan

FDMA • Frequency Division Multiple Access • Different carrier frequencies are assigned to different traffic channels(speech) • One carrier frequency can only carry one single speech channel at one time

Shortage • Voice information only • Unsafe (eavesdropping) • Waste of frequency resource

2G • Start early 90’s • Digital technique • GSM : Global System of Mobilephone • GPRS : General Packet Radio Service • D-AMPS : Digital AMPS

GSM • TD/FDMA: A mix of FDMA and TDMA • The whole useable spectrum was divided to many 200k Hz carrier frequencies —FD • Each carrier was divided into 8 timeslots (burst) —TD • Each burst is assigned to a user(a logical traffic channel) • One carrier frequency can carry up to 8 logical traffic channels (voice or data) at the same time • The maximum data communication rate is 14.4 kbps

Network Structure

BTS,BSC and MSC • BTS & BSC: Base Transceiver System and Base Station Controller. Radio signal transceiver, a connection between handset and MSC • MSC: Mobile services Switching Center, switching center of the GSM network, and connect to other networks

Databases • HLR : Home Location Register, contains static information of subscribers and location update data • VLR : Visitor Location Register, embedded in MSC to avoid delay, contains current location information of handsets • AUC : Authentication Center, stores secret keys for authentication and encryption of the radio channel • EIR : Equipment Identity Register, contains a list of all valid mobile equipment in the network, by its International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI)

GPRS • Upgrade of existed GSM network • Improves the data communication ability

Network nodes • GGSN: Gateway GSM Support Node, • Protocol transferring, data encapsulation, a connection to external networks • SGSN: Service GSM Support Node, • Communicate with HLR and mobile handsets, authorization and admission control, charging, mobility management

Data communications • In GSM, one user occupies one traffic channel to exchange voice/data information • In GPRS, up to 8 traffic channels(a whole carrier) can be dynamically combined together for one data communication application • The theoretically maximum data transmission rate: 14.4k bps * 8 = 115.2k bps

Advantages of GPRS • Higher data rate • Seamless connection to internet • Packet switching rather than circuit switch, bandwidth is only used when the data is actually used, even though it is always connected • A primary step to 3G

shortage • Not fast enough for the multimedia service • The data rate falls when the network is busy • Upgrade of handset

3G-Standards • Three CDMA standards approved by ITU: • Direct Spread CDMA(WCDMA) : Europe, Japan • Multi-Carrier CDMA(CDMA 2000) : North America • TD-Synchronous CDMA(CDMA TDD) : Europe, China

3G-CDMA • Code Division Multi Address • Spread spectrum technology • Each single traffic channel occupies the whole spectrum, but distinguished by a unique digital code • Walsh code: an orthogonal 64 bit pattern, unique in the network

Features • Better voice quality • Up to 2 Mbps data communication rate • Increase battery life • Soft hand-off • Excellent data safety • More effective spectrum usage than 2G
